So, It’s been one year since I started this site, almost 7100 hits. I know I’ve been a pretty big slacker lately, it seems like as soon as I quit my job and started my BSc, I just havn’t been able to think up all this random stuff to write about anymore. Maybe I’ll have to just start making more “Reviews” posts, of CD’s, Movies, Anime and whatnot. I suppose there hasn’t been a whole lot stopping me from doing that in the first place.
So, thanks to everyone that’s visited my stupid little site, and I’m gonna try to force myself to do weekly updates so much as it’s possible.
Site of the day:
(This is pretty much the most accurate video you can get about Ann Coulter)
Now that I’ve had it long enough to listen to it twice over, I can tell you all that it’s great.
I’m sure everyone (that follows Nightwish) was somewhat nervous at first with them getting a new singer (Anette Olzon), but any doubts I had were swiftly removed once I heard Eva (their first single of the album). Marco does alot more singing in this album as compared to others, which is great, not to undermine Anette in any way, she’s certainly excellent.
As for the album itself, well, it’s great, duh. There’s also a Collecter’s Edition which I managed to snaggle up for the same price as reg. edition (maybe it’s supposed to be, iunno), which has one extra song on the first disk (The demo version of Amaranth, which…well, it’s awfull, but no biggie), and it also has a second disk which is exactly the same as the first disk, except with no singing (we’ll just ignore the choir for now).
The only complaint I can give to this album is that there isn’t any mega-hits for me, there’s no Nemo I could say; but it’s also possible I just havn’t picked one yet, it’s a very consistant high quality CD, which it turns out is good and bad. It’s good because there aren’t any let downs, but also no major attractions. It also seems a bit short despite the shortest song being 4min. and the longest being 14min. That’s probably because of it’s consistancy (no landmarks), either that or because it rocks so much that I can’t get enough of it.
So for a rating, I think I’ll finally have to break out the decimal places on my ratings.
Dark Passion Play: 4.5/5
