Why objectification of members of the opposite sex is the right thing to do

July 28, 2007 at 5:10 pm (Life, Men, Society, Women, obesity, objectification)

Today I’ll be dealing with the topic of ‘Objectification of Men/Women’. This post and it’s idea works both ways.

In today’s society, most people would probably consider objectification of men/women, to be bad and unwanted, but I shall beg to differ. Objectification can save lives, and millions of healthcare dollars. But rather than explain it all in long boring paragraphs, I’ll try to let my material do the talking for me.

Consider this situation, in which objectification is non existent:

While that all may seem good and happy and tra lalalalala~~, now, take into account what the future may hold:

You see, by allowing the foolish people to believe that they’re fine the way they are, they could face major health risks down the road, along with the major financial difficulties that they may bring.

Now, if we were to look at a worl where things were done properly:

When objectification is allowed to exist freely as it would in nature, the results could be this!!:

Now, I hope you’ve all come to realize, that in some cases, tough love is really the way to go, so do yourselves, and others a huge favor to society:

Women in the Workforce

July 22, 2007 at 4:13 pm (Equality, Life, Men, Women, Work, bartender, cop, detective, librarian, maid, nurse, pilot, politician, politics, sex, sexy, stewardess, swimsuit model, teacher)

It’s long been thought that allowing women into the workforce was based on gender equality, either that, or because the men were off doing manly things like fighting eachother to the death. However, after many seconds of consideration, and no evidence whatsoever, I have discovered the truth to women in the workforce.

Men simply got bored of the ‘boring, nagging Housewife’ thing, and decided that some spicing up needed to be done.

Truly, who would want this:

nagging wife

Especially once they discovered you could have so much more, for example:

Sexy Nurse:

Sexy Librarian:

Sexy Maid:

Sexy Cop:

Sexy Bartender:

Sexy Swimsuit Model:

Sexy Stewardess:

Sexy Pilot:

Sexy Politician:

Sexy Teacher:

So here’s a great big “Thank You” to all those awesome dudes who decided to let women work, the next round of cigars and drinks are on me.

Wii VS PS3

July 3, 2007 at 4:06 pm (Nintendo, PS3, Playstation, Reviews, Video Games, Wii)

So, I tried out a PS3 in the first week of January, and found it to be quite satisfactory, but I’ve only played the Wii for the first time today, which I assume is the opposite order in which people usually end up testing those 2 consoles, anyways, just thought I’d give my initial thoughts on the two of them.

Wii (1 Hour test):
The game I tested was Wii Sports, which most people say is the most accurate use of the Wiimote, but I found it to be quite sloppy.

After an hour or so of playing around with it, it was still all hit/miss, was I going to throw a punch? I swung my arm, but who knows? Wii Boxing basically ended up with me swinging as much as possible to try and get hits in, wherever/whenever they may show up. It was no help either that there were no in-game explainations on how to go about getting what you want done, the best they did was “Here, practice” …thanks.

Besides that, I found that the cursor was floating a good 8 inches below where I was actually aiming it. Making my Mii ended up being the most fun I had during my test, not to say I hated the rest of the time, but it seems like that was the only time it was doing what I wanted it to do (except for the aiming problem).

Now, I won’t send the Wii off to eternal damnation just yet, it was only set up the night before, so who knows, maybe I wasn’t the right distance from the TV or some asinane problem like that.

PS3 (30min. test):
This was the console I was expecting the most from, I got to test Resistance: Fall of Man, on a pretty sweet projector, surround sound setup no less. It’s been quite a while now since I’ve played it, so let’s hope my memory isn’t too far off.

I can’t really remember any problems with Resistance, other than learning what all the buttons are for, including switching weapons, a problem I don’t doubt would’ve dissapeared with another half hour of playing. That, and it was kinda hard (I suck at console FPS though, so it could just be me). Movement, aiming, and whatever other controls there were gave me no trouble at all, everything moved and acted just the way it should.

The game looked great and I had plenty of fun tearing around, especially once we found the tank. The graphics wern’t everything I hoped they’d be during the opening cutscene, but now thinking back on it, (and having played other FPS in the mean time) I’m sure the in-game graphics were just splendid, but I don’t think anyone ever doubted the graphics capabilities of the PS3 in the first place.

Verdict:

Well, I’d still like to try out another game or two on the Wii, to see if there’s any improvement from my first test, but right now it just kinda pisses me off, meanwhile the PS3 acted perfectly. Also, I’m pretty sure I’d get tired of swinging my arms around and sweating while I’m trying to relax and play a video game.

As of right now, if I had any interest in purchasing either of them, I’d be willing to suffer the price difference, and get the PS3 (when a ’system seller’ game comes out at least).
