It’s a little hard to say with Ragnarok, what extent of popularity it has, because there’s the official server, and I’m not sure, there may even be a few versions of it, for different countries/languages. But there are also hundreds of private servers out there, the one I started out on had about 2000 characters logged on during guild war times.
One thing is that WOW is North-American made, while RO orriginates from Korea, so it could be that elsewhere Ragnarok Online is more popular than WOW
But overall, I’m pretty sure that WOW has a larger share of the market.
Ragnarok Online 2 is in the works though, and from what I’ve seen at least, it has better graphics than WOW.
Dam. I should check it out then. My friend managed to drop her WOW addiction just to get hooked on Ragnorok. I wonder why Final Fantasy was never able to break into the scene.

Used to play CSS years ago a comp at an internet room. Didn’t realize it was still around. Is Ragnorok becoming new competition for WOW?

I was about to buy FF XI, but then I found out it had monthly fees.
