How many Five Year Olds Could I take in a Fight? 25

This site was brought to my attention via a Facebook group, so I thought I’d share it.
(Personally, I think I can take on more than 25 though)

Beowulf

beowulf_ver1_poster1.jpgDon’t go see this movie, simple as that.  It’s a little interesting, but overall dumb. Go see this movie instead, it’s much better: beowulf-grendel-dvd.jpg  Site of the Day:

Jesus Camp: Absolutely Terrifying

November 29, 2007 at 11:47 pm (Camp, Christianity, Corruption, Culture, Evil, Gross, Horror, Jesus, Movies, Religion, Science, Stupid, creation, politics, racism)

I’ll pretty much let the movie do the talking for itself, there are 9 parts in all, so you’ll need to head on down to YouTube to see the rest, it’s all one movie though.  There was actually at least one point in this movie when I tried to hide myself from the extreme stupid emanating from my screen… *Shudder*   Site of the Day: (I figured you’d need something funny after watching that…)

What I learned at the creation museum

November 21, 2007 at 5:28 pm (Funny, Religion, Science, Stupid, creation, museum)

(This was not made by me, I take no credit for it)

I kinda wanna visit that museum…I like comedy, laughing makes me feel good, therefore I assume that I’d feel VERY good in that museum. I kinda have the feeling that alot of that museum’s visitors are people like me.

Mirko “Cro Cop” Rules

November 5, 2007 at 9:53 pm (Badass, Cro Cop, Fight, Filipovic, MMA, Manliness, Mirko, UFC)

It’s something I guess I’ve just never mentioned before…Cro Cop, he’s awesome, that’s all there is to it. He’s the most badass member of parliment alive, and he’s also part of the Croation Special Forces. In short, don’t mess with Croatia, don’t believe me?

I added his website to ‘Websites that rock”, just in case you ever need to show someone what the most powerfull legs in the world look like I guess.

Happy Birthday TNAB

October 31, 2007 at 11:41 am (Ann, Birthdays, Coulter)

So, It’s been one year since I started this site, almost 7100 hits. I know I’ve been a pretty big slacker lately, it seems like as soon as I quit my job and started my BSc, I just havn’t been able to think up all this random stuff to write about anymore. Maybe I’ll have to just start making more “Reviews” posts, of CD’s, Movies, Anime and whatnot. I suppose there hasn’t been a whole lot stopping me from doing that in the first place.

So, thanks to everyone that’s visited my stupid little site, and I’m gonna try to force myself to do weekly updates so much as it’s possible.

Dark Passion Play

October 3, 2007 at 6:19 pm (Anette, Dark Passion Play, Metal, Music, Nightwish, Olzon)

Nightwish’s latest album (released Oct. 2, 2007)

DPP

Now that I’ve had it long enough to listen to it twice over, I can tell you all that it’s great.

I’m sure everyone (that follows Nightwish) was somewhat nervous at first with them getting a new singer (Anette Olzon), but any doubts I had were swiftly removed once I heard Eva (their first single of the album). Marco does alot more singing in this album as compared to others, which is great, not to undermine Anette in any way, she’s certainly excellent.

As for the album itself, well, it’s great, duh. There’s also a Collecter’s Edition which I managed to snaggle up for the same price as reg. edition (maybe it’s supposed to be, iunno), which has one extra song on the first disk (The demo version of Amaranth, which…well, it’s awfull, but no biggie), and it also has a second disk which is exactly the same as the first disk, except with no singing (we’ll just ignore the choir for now).

The only complaint I can give to this album is that there isn’t any mega-hits for me, there’s no Nemo I could say; but it’s also possible I just havn’t picked one yet, it’s a very consistant high quality CD, which it turns out is good and bad. It’s good because there aren’t any let downs, but also no major attractions. It also seems a bit short despite the shortest song being 4min. and the longest being 14min. That’s probably because of it’s consistancy (no landmarks), either that or because it rocks so much that I can’t get enough of it.

So for a rating, I think I’ll finally have to break out the decimal places on my ratings.

Dark Passion Play: 4.5/5

Songs you should check out from this CD: 7 days to the wolves, Cadence of her last breath, Whoever brings the night.
